CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

As a company engaging in financial institution to serve the public, it is manifested in an effort to serve the surrounding environment, either through environmental preservation or development of community’s social environmental quality. The Bank’s commitment related to this matter is realized through the implementation of sustainable, planned, and directed social responsibility so that Bank Victoria is increasingly beneficial to stakeholders and to the economic development of the country. This commitment is manifested in compliance with regulations issued by the authorities as follows:

  1. Law No. 8 of 1999 concerning Consumer Protection;
  2. Law No. 13 of 2003 concerning Manpower;
  3. Law No. 40 of 2007 concerning Limited Liability Companies; and
  4. Regulation of the Financial Services Authority No. 1 / POJK.07 / 2013 concerning Protection of Financial Services Sector Consumers.

Bank Victoria realizes the important role in implementing CSR is to cover all the impacts of business activities on all stakeholders. Therefore, Bank Victoria has a due diligent method on the social, economic and environmental impacts of the Bank's activities. The due diligent mechanism used includes:

  1. Customer satisfaction survey
  2. Survey employee engagement
  3. Analysis of the effectiveness of implementing social responsibility activities to the community.

Bank Victoria is aware of the existence of stakeholders as parties that have influence and are affected by the achievement of company goals. In addition, Bank Victoria sought to identify various stakeholders and group them into stakeholder groups namely:

  1. Employees,
  2. Customer,
  3. Provider of goods and services (objective evaluation inside
  4. procurement of bank equipment and equipment),
  5. Business Organizations,
  6. Government,
  7. Society,
  8. Mass media, and
  9. Professional Organization.

Bank Victoria continually continues to foster stakeholder relations, which includes internal and external Banks. From various interaction activities and stakeholders, Bank Victoria realizes the pattern of relationships and coaching with each interest group according to relevant topics. The coaching pattern is adjusted to the characteristics of each stakeholder, as well as the frequency in conducting coaching.

 

 

IMPORTANT SOCIAL, ECONOMIC AND ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUES RELATED TO THE IMPACT OF ACTIVITIES OF THE COMPANY'S ACTIVITIES

Bank Victoria has identified important social, economic and environmental issues related to the impact of the company's activities in managing these important issues in order to have a positive impact on shareholders and other stakeholders. This is Bank Victoria adjusting the important social, economic and environmental issues to the principles of ISO 26000. The principle at ISO 26000: Guidance Standard on Social Responsibility as one of the guidelines in implementing CSR. The guideline contains 7 (seven) main issues related to CSR, namely:

  1. Organizational Governance;
  2. Human Rights;
  3. Employment;
  4. Environment;
  5. Practice of Fair Institution Activities;
  6. Consumer Issues; and
  7. Community Engagement and Development.

 

The following are Bank Victoria's CSR activities in 2024 and in the previous year:

CSR in 2024:

  1. Community CSR through the distribution of donations to the Tjo Soe Kong Foundation
  2. Health CSR through blood donation and medical check-up for Bank Victoria employees 2.

 

CSR in 2023:

  1. CSR Education through assistance for school stationery and infrastructure facilities at SD Dewi Sartika and SD Laksa Bhakti
  2. CSR Eid al-Fitr 1444 H through providing compensation to Chairul Amal Orphanage
  3. CSR Education through the provision of educational funding and operational funds for STT Iman Foundation
  4. Community CSR through donation to Elsafan Blind Home and Sacred Heart Foundation 4.

 

CSR in 2022:

  1. CSR Health through Screening activities for PCR, Antigen, Serology tests for Bank Victoria employees
  2. Education CSR through the provision of medical check-up packages for teaching staff and assistance for elementary school education facilities at SD Dewi Sartika and SD Laksa Bhakti
  3. CSR Health through Blood Donation activities and medical check-ups for Bank Victoria employees
  4. CSR Education through the distribution of education funds for the children of deceased Bank Victoria employees
  5. Community CSR through fundraising for victims of the Cianjur earthquake natural disaster
  6. Eid al-Fitr CSR through the provision of Eid al-Fitr 1443 H gifts
  7. Community CSR through donations to Ar Ridho Orphan Foundation and Darul Mawa Orphan Foundation

 

CSR in 2021:

  1. CSR Ramadan 1442 H through visits to the Palsigunung Double Disability Social Home, the Daarul Ma' Wa Yatim Foundation and the Nurul Mubarok Orphan Foundation.
  2. CSR Education through visits to Dewi Sartika Elementary School, North Jakarta and Laksa Bhakti Elementary School, West Jakarta.

 

CSR in 2020:

  1. CSR Ramadan 1441 H through a visit to the Darrussalam Foundation Orphanage and Chairul Amal Foundation

 

CSR in 2019:

  1. CSR Ramadan through visits and compensation for Al-Muhajirin Ar-Rohmaniyah's Orphanage

 

CSR di tahun 2018:

  1. Granting of scholarship for the child of the late Sutiardi (former Bank Victoria employee)
  2. CSR donates aid to employees that were fire victims.
  3. Community Social Aid Donation for Panti Werdha Wisma Mulia, Jakarta, 2 March 2018.
  4. Rice Donation to employees of Bank Victoria and group.
  5. Donations to Yayasan Al Anwar Pdk Aren Tangerang Selatan, Yayasan Yatim Choirul Amal Cikasungka Solear Karawaci Tangerang, and aid for the children of the late Sigit Sukoco and Sutiardi (former Bank Victoria employees)
